About Course

Cambridge IGCSE – Business Studies 0450 is designed for learners aged 14–16 (although others may take it), offering a broad introduction to key business concepts and practices. It’s suitable for students building foundational business understanding before advanced study.

Students explore how businesses operate, including topics like business activity and growth, people in business, marketing, operations, finance, and external influences such as economics and ethics.

The course starts with basic concepts of understanding what a business is and why it exists and gradually develops students’ abilities to apply business terminology, analyse real business situations, and make informed judgements.

With balanced coverage of theoretical and practical business skills, the syllabus prepares students well for Cambridge AS & A Level Business and other post-16 business programmes.
