About Course

The Cambridge IGCSE™ Enterprise qualification (0454) is designed for learners typically aged 14–16 who are interested in understanding how small enterprises work and developing enterprising skills. It is suitable for learners who enjoy practical business thinking, problem solving, and applying creativity to real-world situations.

Learners explore the nature of enterprise, from identifying opportunities and planning to implementing and evaluating an enterprise project. The course combines theoretical knowledge with a practical enterprise project, helping students to apply what they learn in realistic contexts.

Learning progresses from understanding what enterprise means and how to set up a small enterprise, through developing key skills, to managing finance, markets and communication. The coursework project lets learners experience the enterprise process and demonstrate their skills and understanding.

This qualification provides a solid foundation for further study in business-related subjects, such as Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies or Cambridge International AS & A Level Business, and supports future pathways in entrepreneurship, management and commerce.
