About Course

The Cambridge International AS & A Level Psychology (9990) is an internationally recognised qualification designed for learners typically aged 16 to 19 years. The qualification may be studied as a standalone AS Level or as a full A Level and is widely accepted by universities around the world. No formal previous study of psychology is required, although an interest in human behaviour and scientific enquiry is beneficial. The full A Level is typically completed over approximately two years and is assessed through four examination papers, normally taken within one examination series or through a staged assessment route.

Throughout this course, you will explore how psychologists investigate human thought, behaviour and emotion using scientific research methods. You will study major psychological approaches, core research studies, research methodology and specialist topics such as Clinical, Consumer, Health or Organisational Psychology. As you progress, you will develop analytical, evaluative and investigative skills while learning to apply psychological concepts to real-life situations. The qualification provides an excellent foundation for university studies in psychology, neuroscience, medicine, education, business, healthcare, law, human resources and many other related disciplines.

At Polymath Institute, your study partner, learning takes place through a structured digital platform designed around the official Cambridge syllabus. You will benefit from syllabus-aligned video lessons, guided practice, topic exercises, quizzes, regular assessments, extensive past paper practice, mock examinations, focused revision programmes and continuous progress tracking. Our 24/7 tutoring support ensures that help is always available whenever you need clarification or guidance. You can study at your own pace, revisit challenging topics, strengthen weaker areas and monitor your readiness for the examination while building the knowledge, critical thinking and research skills needed for higher grades, university success and future professional careers.
