About Course

The Cambridge IGCSE™ Biology (0610) qualification is an internationally recognised science programme designed primarily for learners aged 14 to 16, although it is suitable for students of other ages. Recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, it provides a strong foundation for further education in science. No formal previous knowledge of biology is required, although learners should have a general lower secondary science background. The course is typically completed over two academic years, includes three examination components, and is normally completed in a single examination series.

Throughout this course, you will explore the fascinating science of living organisms, from cells and biological molecules to human physiology, genetics, ecology and biotechnology. You will develop practical laboratory skills, investigate scientific concepts through experimentation, interpret biological data, solve scientific problems and apply your understanding to real-world situations affecting health, medicine and the environment. These knowledge and skills provide excellent preparation for advanced study, including Cambridge International AS & A Level Biology, Marine Science and other science-related qualifications, while supporting future careers in medicine, healthcare, biotechnology, environmental science, pharmacy, veterinary science and scientific research.

At Polymath Institute, your study partner, you will learn through a structured digital learning platform fully aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Biology syllabus. Every topic is supported by engaging video lessons, guided practice, interactive quizzes, topic exercises, practical skill development, regular assessments, past paper practice, mock examinations and focused revision sessions. Continuous progress tracking helps you identify strengths, improve weaker areas and build confidence throughout your learning journey. With 24/7 tutoring support, you can study at your own pace, revisit challenging concepts whenever needed, strengthen practical and examination skills, monitor your readiness for the final examinations and prepare confidently for higher grades while building a strong scientific foundation for university and future careers
