Mathematics 9709

The Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics (9709) syllabus is designed for learners aiming to develop a deep and well-rounded understanding of mathematics. It suits students who enjoy logical thinking, problem solving, modelling real-world situations and applying mathematical methods in varied contexts. This qualification equips learners with foundational and advanced mathematics concepts. 

The course structure allows flexible progression from AS Level to A Level. At AS Level, learners gain essential mathematical skills, and at A Level, they further extend these skills with more complex concepts and applications. Mathematics is studied across core areas such as algebra, geometry, calculus, mechanics, and probability & statistics. 

The syllabus supports progression to higher education or careers in STEM fields, economics, and other analytical disciplines. It emphasises both procedural fluency and conceptual understanding, helping learners become confident problem solvers. 

This syllabus is valid for exams in June and November series, and is also available in the March series in India.
