Thinking Skills 9694
About Course
The Cambridge International AS & A Level Thinking Skills (9694) is an internationally recognised qualification designed for learners typically aged 16–19 years. It develops transferable thinking skills that are highly valued by universities and employers worldwide. No previous study of Thinking Skills is required, although learners are recommended to have an English level equivalent to Cambridge IGCSE/O Level First Language English and a Mathematics background equivalent to Cambridge IGCSE/O Level. The full A Level is typically completed over two years, comprises four examination papers, and is normally completed in one examination series, although a staged route through AS Level is also available.
Throughout this course, you will develop advanced problem-solving, reasoning and critical thinking skills by learning how to analyse information, evaluate evidence, construct logical arguments and solve unfamiliar problems. You will work with real-world scenarios, interpret numerical and textual information, identify weaknesses in reasoning, and make informed decisions using evidence. These highly transferable skills prepare you for university study across a wide range of disciplines, including law, business, economics, politics, engineering, medicine, social sciences and computer science, while also supporting careers that require analytical thinking, decision-making and effective communication.
At Polymath Institute, your study partner, you will learn through a structured digital learning platform featuring syllabus-aligned video lessons, guided practice, topic-based exercises, quizzes, assessments, past paper practice, mock examinations, focused revision and continuous progress tracking. You can study at your own pace, revisit challenging topics whenever needed, strengthen weaker areas and monitor your readiness for the examinations. With 24/7 tutoring support, you will receive ongoing academic guidance throughout your studies while developing the confidence, reasoning ability and examination skills needed to pursue higher grades and prepare for university and future professional opportunities.
